On October 26, 2021, Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital held a fair for nurses that highlighted various professional development opportunities available to them and supported by SVMH. Topics included:
- Specialty-specific certifications
- Advanced nursing degrees
- Shared governance council membership opportunities
- Advice for climbing the clinical ladder
- Professional nursing organization membership
- Evidence-based practice engagement opportunities
- Medical library access
- Mentoring and succession planning
Representatives from some SVMH-affiliated colleges also attended the Professional Development Fair to provide information and answer questions about their programs.
