On Certified Nurses Day, recognition activities and rewards are provided for all board-certified nurses. A poster listing all the names of board-certified nurses is on continuous display in the medical center lobby.
Programs that distribute naloxone to opiate users and their acquaintances have been successful and have shown that nonmedical personnel are able to administer naloxone to reverse opiate overdoses and save lives.
